Sarasota & the KeysNo travel fee

Siesta Key, shot the way it sells.

Gulf-front condos, Grand Canal docks, and one of Florida’s busiest vacation-rental markets — minutes from our Sarasota base, with no travel fee and photos in 24 hours.

This is our Sarasota & the Keys home zone — no travel fee, first pick of the calendar, including twilight slots.

Siesta Key sits about fifteen minutes from our front door, which makes it the easiest island on the Gulf Coast for us to shoot well: no travel fee, flexible scheduling for tide and light, and 24-hour photo delivery on every shoot. We photograph both sides of the island’s market — listings for sale, and the vacation rentals that make Siesta one of the most photographed addresses in Florida.

The island’s selling point is not subtle. Siesta Beach’s sand is roughly 99% pure quartz — powder-white, cool underfoot even in August — and in 2025 TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice awards named it the #1 beach in the United States and #4 in the world, on top of two career #1-in-America rankings from coastal scientist “Dr. Beach.” Buyers and rental guests alike shop this island for the view first. The job of the media is to prove the view.

The island advantage

Why photography works so hard on Siesta Key

On a barrier island, the value is in the geography — and geography is exactly what ground-level photos struggle to show. A drone frame from behind a Gulf-front condo puts the quartz beach, the green-blue Gulf and the building in one image; from a canal home, the same flight shows the dock, the Grand Canal network and the Intracoastal in context. Every aerial is planned around FAA Part 107 rules, with the flight path matched to what the property actually offers.

Siesta Key also happens to face west. That means true twilight shoots here end with the sun setting into the Gulf directly behind the property line — the kind of dusk frame that becomes the listing’s hero image and, on a rental, the cover photo that stops the scroll.

What we shoot

The island’s property types

The Gulf-front condo corridor

From Siesta Village south along Midnight Pass Road through Crescent Beach, the condo stock runs from 1970s beachfront co-ops to renovated resort-style buildings. Condo media here is view-first: balcony-to-Gulf frames, amenity decks, pool courtyards, and aerials that place the building on the sand. These units are also the engine of the island’s weekly-rental market, so many shoots do double duty — MLS set plus rental gallery.

Canal homes on the Grand Canal

Inland from the beach, miles of man-made canals thread through the island’s residential core. For these homes the dock is the headline — boat lift, canal frontage, minutes-to-the-Intracoastal — and we shoot it from the seawall and from the air. Ground-plus-aerial coverage is the difference between “house with a canal” and “boater’s address.”

Village cottages & elevated new builds

Around Siesta Village and the island’s older streets, classic Florida cottages are steadily joined by elevated new construction built to modern flood standards. New elevated builds photograph tall — we compose for the architecture and use aerials to show what the elevation buys: the view over the rooflines toward the water.

Vacation rentals

Siesta Key’s short-term-rental market

Siesta Key is one of the Gulf Coast’s densest short-term-rental markets — but the rules are zoning-specific, and worth knowing before you invest in media. In most unincorporated single-family neighborhoods, Sarasota County requires 30-day minimum rentals; multi-family-zoned properties on the barrier islands can rent shorter, which is why the condo corridor is where the weekly-rental economy lives. A slice of the island falls inside the City of Sarasota, where a separate certificate program applies. We photograph rentals across all of it — confirm your property’s zoning, and we’ll handle the pictures.

The economics of professional rental photography are unusually well documented. Airbnb’s own research on professionally photographed listings found roughly 19% more bookings and about 21% higher nightly earnings, and a Carnegie Mellon analysis put the average annual revenue lift near $2,455. On an island where peak weeks command premium rates, the gallery pays for itself in a single booking. Our STR packages run $500 and $800, flat — details on the short-term-rentals page.

Siesta Key questions, answered

Do you photograph vacation rentals as well as listings on Siesta Key?

Yes — both, often in the same week. Vacation rentals book STR Essentials ($500) or STR Pro ($800), which are built around guest-facing galleries and booking-platform crops. Listings for sale use the standard listing packages. Photos are delivered within 24 hours either way.

Is there a travel fee to Siesta Key?

No. Siesta Key is part of our Sarasota & the Keys home zone — no travel fee, and because it is minutes from base, scheduling around light and tide is easy.

Can you get aerial shots of the beach and Gulf behind my property?

That is the signature Siesta Key frame, and yes — drone flights are planned around FAA Part 107 rules for each address. The island’s geography is ideal for aerials: one frame can carry the quartz beach, the Gulf and the property together.

When is the best light for a Gulf-front twilight shoot?

The window right after sunset, when the sky still carries color and the interior lights glow — and because Siesta Key faces west over open water, that window is as good here as anywhere in Florida. We schedule twilight slots around the actual sunset time for your date.
