Airbnb & Vacation Rentals

Photography that books nights.

A listing photo sells a home once; rental photos work every night the calendar is open. Airbnb’s own data says professional photography earns hosts about 21% more — on this coast, that’s the difference of a few nights a month.

What an STR shoot covers

Rental photography is a different discipline from listing photography: the buyer of a night filters by amenity and books on feeling. The shot list is built off how guests actually search:

The hero exterior

The frame that competes in search results — shot at the property’s best hour, often twilight for pool homes and beach cottages.

Every sleeping arrangement

Each bedroom and every sleeping surface guests are paying for — bunks, sleeper sofas, the casita — so the sleeps-8 claim is believable, not a gamble.

Amenity storytelling

Guests filter by amenity: pool, hot tub, game room, workspace, beach gear, bikes. Every filterable amenity gets a frame that matches how it reads in search.

Detail & lifestyle vignettes

The coffee bar, the outdoor shower after the beach, the lanai table set for dinner — the frames that make a listing feel hosted rather than vacant.

Twilight hero

Real dusk photography ships in STR Pro — the glowing-pool frame that owns a search results page full of noon-lit competitors.

Drone context

Beach-proximity and neighborhood frames, planned around FAA Part 107 rules — “steps to the sand” proven from 200 feet instead of claimed in the caption.

A real rental, shot for the calendar

A mountain cabin rental, delivered amenity-first — every frame maps to a filter guests search: fireplace, game room, hot tub.

The Gulf Coast STR map

Siesta Key and Anna Maria Island are the region’s weekly-rental powerhouses — dense vacation-rental inventory, world-ranked beaches, and search results crowded enough that photography is the primary differentiator between two three-bedroom cottages a block apart.

Longboat Key runs quieter: many of its communities enforce longer minimum-stay rules, so its rental market skews monthly and seasonal — photography there sells a stay, not just a weekend. Mainland Sarasota and Bradenton fill the mid-term and snowbird lanes. Local rental ordinances vary by city, zone, and HOA — worth confirming for your specific property before you invest in the listing (we photograph; we don’t give legal advice).

Wherever the property sits, the shoot includes the frames that matter for its lane — weekly-rental urgency shots for the islands, settle-in-comfort frames for monthly units.

How the STR offering works

Two tiers: STR Essentials ($500) covers premium, detail, and drone photos with light staging, virtual fire replacement, and — the part hosts underrate — lifetime usage rights, so the images run on every platform, your direct site, and your ads for as long as you operate the property, with no relicensing fees. STR Pro ($800) adds real on-location twilight and a property website. Full inclusions and the rate detail live on the short-term rentals page.

Questions hosts ask

Do professional photos really increase bookings?

The strongest evidence comes from Airbnb itself: in its ~14,700-listing analysis, professionally photographed listings earned about 19% more bookings and 21% higher earnings. Carnegie Mellon researchers put the average annual revenue lift near $2,455, and view counts roughly double. For a Gulf Coast beach rental clearing hundreds of dollars a night, the shoot typically pays for itself within a few incremental nights.

What areas do you cover for vacation rentals?

The whole home base: Sarasota and the Keys (Siesta Key, Lido Key & St. Armands) and Manatee County (Anna Maria Island, Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach, Longboat Key, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch) with no travel fee, plus select Tampa Bay and Pinellas communities on routed travel days. The island rental corridors — Siesta and Anna Maria especially — are the heart of the STR work.
